Privacy - WePlay
Last updated: October 19, 2026. Draft for the app in development; legal, technical and operational review is required before launch.
Controller and contact
Faro Labs is preparing WePlay for Android and iOS. Privacy inquiries: teamfarolabs@gmail.com. Support: hellofarolabs@gmail.com. The controller's full legal identification must be confirmed before distribution.
Data and purposes
WePlay lets users search for and follow teams and competitions. In the connected configuration, Firebase Authentication creates an anonymous session with a technical identifier; no name, email or password is required. The WePlay API may store favorites, notification preferences and voluntary reports about incorrect data associated with that session. Avoid including other people's personal information in a report.
The app stores preferences on the device. If you enable notifications, it may request system permission and register a technical notification token. Remote delivery is awaiting validation. When you open an external map, the selected provider receives the venue address or coordinates; the documented version does not need the user's location for this. Connection providers may receive an IP address and technical data needed to provide the service.
Advertising, privacy and children
The intended audience is mixed and includes children under 13. The app asks for a neutral age band stored locally, not a date of birth. Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform SDKs are integrated for testing; commercial advertising remains disabled by default, and activation, privacy messages and store declarations require validation. The intended configuration applies restricted treatment for the entire audience. This description is not a certification of compliance.
Firebase Analytics has not been added to the documented client. Available advertising privacy options can be managed in the app's privacy section when applicable.
Sources and third parties
The app contacts the WePlay API, which obtains data from available sports sources; coverage, rights and freshness depend on each source. Firebase provides authentication, API protection and infrastructure; Firebase Cloud Messaging may be used for notifications. Google provides information at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy; Apple at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
Retention and rights
Local preferences can be removed by clearing app data or uninstalling, subject to system backups. This does not automatically remove session data stored on the server or third-party data. For access, correction, deletion or review of data relating to a child, contact the privacy address. Describe the request without sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. Legal identification, retention periods, identity verification and the operational server-deletion process must be completed before launch; uninstalling is not represented as deleting the anonymous account.
Changes and independence
This policy must be updated when sources, notifications, advertising or data practices change. WePlay is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by federations or public authorities.
